Verdict

I originally went to a local shoe store at the mall looking for some everyday shoes, running shoes, and some durable work boots. I saw these boots and instantly fell in love with them. They looked very modern and upon handling them, I could tell that they were constructed of durable materials. I tri...ed on one boot and it looked great on me. It fit me perfect like a glove. Unfortunately when I went to try on the other boot, it had a manufacturing defect in the sole. I'm sure this type of thing is rare because when I told the sales associate the problem, he claimed he had been working there for a few years and it was the first time that he had ever seen a defect in a sketchers boot. The problem with the boot was that the soles are either glued or stitched in and it was improperly fitted, leading to a large bubble inside the boot. This was unfixable and they didn't have another pair of the same size. While at the store I tried on about four other pairs of boots that weren't the Skechers brand, but none of them fit as well as this pair and none of them had the look I was going for. I took some photos of the boot and the box with my cellphone so that I would be able to look for it online when I got home. After checking other stores in the mall and even driving to a large well known shoe store warehouse, I still couldn't find a pair of boots that I liked as much as the Skechers. After finally admitting defeat, I went home and decided to check the Skechers website to see if I could find them online. The website was incredibly easy to navigate through and when I found them on the site, I couldn't believe my eyes. I was originally hesitant because I believed that the boots would be much more expensive than in the store and that I would have to pay a lot extra for shipping, but to my surprise the boots were the exact same price and the shipping was free. Shipping was extremely fast and I had the boots in my hands a full day earlier than the estimated delivery date online. I was a little scared when I opened the box that the boots might have another defect, but they were FLAWLESS. Once I put them on, all worries instantly disappeared from my mind. They fit me perfect and are extremely comfortable. I usually have trouble finding a good pair of shoes because I have a slightly wide foot, but these were perfect. I love the way that these boots feel and I have already worn them out in extremely heavy rain and in a tiny little snowstorm that we've had here in Ohio. I couldn't be happier with my purchase and although I've never owned a pair of Skechers before these boots, I can guarantee that this won't be my last pair of Skechers that I ever buy. These boots were very affordable and I believe that they were a great deal for the quality.
